Distinguished Service Award
NCURA Region V provides a variety of awards and other recognitions to encourage continuing professional development and service to the larger research administration community. These awards provide a variety of benefits to the recipients and their institutions.
About the Award
The NCURA Region V Distinguished Service Award, first presented in 2001, exists to recognize individuals with extensive volunteer service within Region V who have made meaningful and lasting contributions to the field of research administration.
Eligibility Criteria
Region V leadership will consider candidates who have made contributions such as the following:
- Served as a regional officer
- Served as chair of a regional committee
- Made presentations and/or served on panels at regional meetings
- Authored papers in a professional publication in the field of research administration
- Mentored others within the region
- Evidence of continuing and long-term contributions to research administration at the regional level
- Served as a national officer or on a national committee

The NCURA Region V Awards Committee is now taking nominations for the Region V Distinguished Service Award.

Distinguished Service Awards Ceremony
The award(s) are presented at the Region V Annual Meeting. The Chair of Region V will present the award(s) or designate an individual to present the award(s). Awardees are given the opportunity to make a brief state at the award ceremony, however, it is not a requirement for the award recipient(s) to attend the Region V Annual Meeting.
