NCURA Region V is pleased to announce the upcoming Region V Roundup topic: Creating Stability, Consistency & Strong Relationships through Effective Post Award Management. The virtual session will be held on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, Central Time. Providing the presentation is Saira Valley – Principal Consultant, Valley Consulting Group, LLC.

Description: This presentation is to demonstrate why routine grant reconciliations are one of the most important elements of strong, pro-active post-award management. Recons help you stay ahead of problems instead of constantly reacting to them, and they give you the visibility you need to prevent deficits, support compliance, answer sponsor questions, and build trust with your PIs. We will also talk about the reality that the biggest barriers – too many responsibilities, constant interruptions, and not enough time—are exactly why good systems matter. When you create
routines, use templates, document well, and build tools that help you catch issues early, you create more stability, more consistency, and stronger working relationships.
